Opening in the Autumn of 2016, the Digital Institute of Early Parenthood (DIEP) is the first institute in the world dedicated to the presentation and promotion of art and research on the subject of pregnancy, birth and new parenthood.
ARCHIVE: bringing together and provide a publicly accessible platform for outstanding contemporary artists, academics, independent researchers and organisers from all over the world whose work makes a significant contribution to our knowledge of early parenthood experiences.
GALLERY: presenting a rolling programme of high quality international exhibitions curated on a variety of themes relating to early parenthood in the 21st century and featuring work by professional contemporary parent artists of any gender, from across the visual, performance, literary and digital disciplines.
COL-LAB: promoting projects and events produced with other arts organisations, education centres and businesses, aimed at engaging and forging strong links with parents as well as those who share the responsibility for parents’ wellbeing through their profession, such as GPs, gyneacologists, obstetricians, midwives, health visitors, psychologists and journalists.
