DIEP devises, develops and delivers highly innovative study programmes, projects, bursaries and workshops which use great art and important research to effect real CHANGE, in partnership with arts organisations, academic institutions and businesses whose work has a direct impact on the experiences of new parents.
ART BEYOND BIRTH
An artist bursary/professional development model to help artists whose careers have been suspended because of parenthood to:
-give form to suppressed creative ideas;
-meet other artists with shared experiences;
-regain confidence in their artistic ability;
-enhance their skillset;
-explore manageable ways to re-establish their practice.
DIEP is aiming to pilot this artist bursary/professional development model at Double Elephant Print Workshop in 2017/18.
