DIEP is currently developing a number of academic study modules which incorporate outstanding works of art on a variety of early parenthood experiences by DIEP’s Associate Artists with the aim to to encourage midwives and other perinatal (mental) health professionals to contemplate their wider role and responsibility in the outcome of early parenthood experiences and the potential inter-generational consequences of this.
MAKING MIDWIVES
This third study module is currently being developed by DIEP and Associate Researcher (and Artist/Midwife) Laura Godfrey-Isaacs and will have a specific focus on using works of art, cultural references and media studies to provide new and effective learning methods and content for midwifery courses.
